As an Ithaca native and a current student at Cornell University, nothing puts a smile on my face quite like the thrill of a Cornell hockey game. After years of chanting "Go Big Red" I decided that it was time to go Big White. 

So what's the big idea behind Big White? It's very simple:  a great smile yields confidence, and confidence yields success. Don't believe me? I spent 2 years of my life doing volunteer missionary work in Colorado. I got tired of doors slamming in my face, people cussing me off their porch, and stoned college students staring blankly back at me. I needed to make a better impression. I needed to grab their attention.

In October of 2015 I had a roommate named Jacob. He was obsessed with his teeth, and his obsession rubbed off on me. I began taking meticulous care of my teeth and using whitening products. The difference was amazing. My smile went from average to distinctive. People noticed it, and I started getting tons of unexpected compliments. "Wow, you've got white teeth" or "I love your smile." Some people would even confess, "It was the first thing I noticed about you!"
I was pretty caught off guard, but loved it. When I realized that I had an impressive smile and that people actually noticed it, my confidence went through the roof. Everyone loves pearly whites, and a smile is a powerful form of expression.

From that point on...SMILE + CONFIDENCE = SUCCESS. It's true. People notice your smile, which creates a good impression. Then they feel your confidence, which creates a sense of trust and comfortability. I constantly see this in the daily lives of my customers, whether it's dating, job interviews, networking, or getting an outrageous amount of likes on an instagram post.

The problem is that most teeth whitening services are either wildly expensive or terribly ineffective. For example, a dentist will charge you $400-$600 for a treatment or make you pay $100 for a simple whitening tray, plus more money for the gel! Whitening strips, such as Crest products, cost usually $35-$50 for just one box. If you use whitening strips regularly then you're going through several boxes a year, which really adds up. What about whitening toothpaste? The problem is that hydrogen peroxide--the key whitening ingredient--needs a lot longer than your birthday-song-length brushing session to really make a difference. What about whitening mouthwash? Let's be real, have you ever met anyone that actually saw a difference, even after months of use? I haven't.

Meet the Owner
Hi, my name is Chandler. I'm an Ithaca native and currently a student at Cornell University. I'm pursuing a degree in hospitality because of my passion for service, which is why I love Big White. I love the feeling I get when I see a customer satisfied with their new white smile. It's a great experience seeing them get so excited, and watching their confidence immediately skyrocket after just one look in the mirror.
For me, Big White isn't a job, it's a service that I love.
